Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of davidforanc.com (the “Site”), operated by the campaign to elect David Seidman as Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 1B03 in Washington, DC (“the Campaign,” “we,” or “us”). By visiting or using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Who this Site is for

The Site is provided to inform voters and neighbors in SMD 1B03 about David Seidman's candidacy and platform, and to let visitors sign up for updates, ask questions, or contribute to the Campaign. It is not intended for use by anyone under 13 years old.

Using the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of the Site by, anyone else. You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through the sign-up form on the Site.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, its underlying systems, or the data of other visitors.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers, or similar tools) to access or collect data from the Site in a way that disrupts its normal operation.
• Use the Site to transmit spam, malware, or unlawful content.

Donations

The “Donate” button on the Site links out to ActBlue, a third-party payment platform. Donations are made on ActBlue's site, subject to ActBlue's own terms and privacy policy. The Campaign does not collect or store your payment information. Contributions are subject to the limits and disclosure requirements of the DC Office of Campaign Finance and are not tax deductible.

Political content and opinions

Statements of position, priorities, and opinion on the Site reflect the views of the Campaign and David Seidman as a candidate. Nothing on the Site should be read as an official statement or record of the District of Columbia, the Board of Elections, or any other government body.

Third party links

The Site links to third party sites we do not control, including ActBlue and the DC Board of Elections. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or privacy practices of those sites, and linking to them is not an endorsement of everything they contain.

Intellectual property

The Site's text, photographs, campaign name, and seal are the property of the Campaign or used with permission, and are provided for your personal, noncommercial use in learning about the candidacy. You may share links to the Site and quote it for commentary, news reporting, or similar purposes, but you may not reproduce the Site's content for commercial purposes or in a way that suggests our endorsement of anything we have not approved.

No warranty

The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, error free, or that information on it is complete or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Campaign and its volunteers and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the Campaign or the Site changes. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
