Privacy Policy
Effective September 1, 2026Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how the campaign to elect David Seidman as Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for Single Member District 1B03 in Washington, DC (“the Campaign,” “we,” or “us”) handles information you share with us through davidforanc.com (the “Site”). We keep this simple on purpose: the Site collects very little, and we don't sell or rent anything we collect.
Information we collect
The only personal information the Site collects is what you choose to give us through the sign-up form: your first name (optional) and your email address. We don't ask for your address, phone number, or any other personal details on this Site.
If you email us directly at david@davidforanc.com, we keep that correspondence like any other email.
The Site does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not run analytics scripts that follow you across other sites.
How we use your information
We use your name and email to send occasional updates about the campaign, for example when something in the neighborhood is up for a vote, and to respond if you've written in. We do not share, sell, or rent your information to any third party for their own marketing.
Donations
The “Donate” button on the Site takes you to ActBlue, a separate third-party platform that processes political contributions. Donations happen entirely on ActBlue's site, under ActBlue's own privacy policy. We never see or store your card number or bank details. ActBlue's privacy policy is available at actblue.com/legal-privacy.
Third-party services
The Site is hosted on Netlify, and the sign-up form is processed through Netlify Forms. Netlify may retain standard technical logs (like IP address and browser type) as part of running the Site. Donations, as noted above, are handled entirely by ActBlue. Each service has its own privacy practices.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from campaign emails at any time using the link in any email we send. You can also ask us to remove your information at any time by emailing david@davidforanc.com.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
