David Seidman is a lawyer and longtime DC resident who has dedicated his career to helping people. He served as a policy advisor in the Obama White House and founded a DC statehood organization. He has represented asylum seekers and neighbors in legal fights with the National Guard.
Locally, he taught debate at Cardozo High School and is a member of the ANC Community Engagement Committee.
Our neighborhood can be a great place to live, but we deserve better. Trash pickup is skipped, snow clearing takes weeks, and rats are everywhere. David will expand the DC rat control pilot program here and hold the city accountable so we get the services we need.
In the last four years, 1B03 has missed out on thousands of dollars in community grants. That’s why David joined the ANC Community Engagement Committee, where he finally secured grant funding for the 12th Place block party. As Commissioner, he’ll proactively fight for our fair share of resources and events.
Rising costs are forcing our neighbors to make difficult choices. David will champion more affordable and transit-oriented housing, and work to fill vacant storefronts so we can all afford to call this area home.
